'British photography, and in particular British documentary, appears to have received greater recognition and support outside of the UK. The genre has had it’s time in the sun here in Britain, with major shows at Tate’s Britain and Modern, Barbican, Photographer’s Gallery and V&A, etc but this support-whilst welcomed-has often felt quite sporadic. There has always been an appetite for a more sustained enquiry, for a venue which supports, celebrates and educates. Martin Parr, with his excellent Foundation in Bristol has proven that the model works and so it is very exciting to try and help support the creation of The Centre for British Photography in London.'

Paul Reas about the opening of the Centre for British Photography.

The donated print is a photograph made in, ‘Constable Country’ in Suffolk. It shows a group of American tourists participating in a guided tour of some of the locations of John Constable’s paintings.
