VENUE: CENTRE FOR BRITISH PHOTOGRAPHY, 49 JERMYN STREET, LONDON SW1Y 6LX
Inspired by Arpita Shah's Modern Muse series, a body of work that gives an insight into the perspectives of what it means to be a young British and Asian woman. The Centre for British Photography invites groundbreaking artists Chila Burman, Arpita Shah and Bindi Vora to discuss the concept of femininity within South Asian culture and how this has been represented within their bodies of work. This panel discussion will be chaired by Shasti Lowton, Curator at the Government Art Collection, who also curated the Science Museum Group's award winning Illuminating India Season.
